Our Youth for Democracy (Y4D) program took its mission of strengthening democracy and empowering young leaders to the city of Corrientes on November 28 and 29. This edition combined meetings with representatives from the public and private sectors, cultural activities and leadership-oriented workshops.
Day 1: Connecting with Corrientes Institutions
The first day began with an opening ceremony at the Honorable Chamber of Senators of the Province, with the participation of representatives of Kairos Global and US Alumni NEA. The young people interacted with authorities, such as the Vice Governor Pedro Braillard Poccard and the President of the Chamber of Deputies, Pedro Cassani, who shared their views on regional development and democracy.
Later, they visited the Municipal Palace to talk with Mayor Eduardo Tassano, and participated in a meeting with Clara Gortari, Director of Youth of Corrientes, where youth policies were discussed. The day ended with a presentation by the President of the Provincial Institute of Statistics and Data Science, Juan Francisco Bosco, who highlighted the importance of data analysis in public policies.

Day 2: Exploring Corrientes and regional leadership
The second day began with a meeting with Federal Judge Juan Carlos Vallejos, followed by a meeting with Gastón Breard, Undersecretary of Labor of Corrientes, to discuss youth employment and labor rights.
In the afternoon, the participants travelled to Resistencia, Chaco, where they met with the President of the Chamber of Deputies of Chaco, Carmen Noemí Delgado Britto, and Tamara Silvestri, Undersecretary of Community Action, who shared regional collaboration strategies.
On their return to Corrientes, a guided visit was made to the Iberá Marshlands Interpretation Center, where they explored the natural and cultural richness of the region. Finally, the program closed with a cultural event at the Adolfo Mors Cultural Center.
A transformative event

Y4D Corrientes was an enriching experience that allowed participants to deepen their understanding of democratic institutions, sustainability, and youth leadership. Thanks to all the people and institutions that made this unforgettable edition possible!
